Snow of the Wilds

Here is a mini comic I did partly to get it out of my head and as a gift for a close friend. He inspires me a lot and has always been there for me so here's my little tribute for him and his character Rorketh.

I think I will do a title page to go with these. I'm planning on putting this comic in the back of the Kale book but it'll be grey scale so none of the colors will show; which bums me out a little bit so I decided to post this version here in all its glory. I really wanted to play with a super limited color pallet and composition. The first page is my favorite because I love how cinimatic it feels. The wide panels really help with the feeling of isolation, at least that was my intention. I also really had to push myself to keep things simple. I kept over crowding and adding too many unnecessary details that hindered the panels instead of helping tell the story. This was a great learning experience and I'm really glad I did it.

Art Post Binge

I got a lot of non comic art work done today.

Family Ties by ~Spork-Bunny on deviantART
Gift for my old room mate and her mom.

Blue Bellydancer Cat by ~Spork-Bunny on deviantART
Older drawing from a few weeks ago that I left at my parent's house and didn't get to scan until now.

Bellydance Birthday by ~Spork-Bunny on deviantART
Birthday gift for a friend.

Those Weird Kids by ~Spork-Bunny on deviantART
For fun drawing I did for myself last night. The guy is the new human form of Theolyn, Alencia's un-dead cat companion. More will be revealed about these two when I do Alencia's own comics. Which won't be fore a while since I want/need to finish Kale's story first.

Books, books, books!

Hi Everyone!

I'm back in Richmond, finishing up my Summer semester. I'm busy at work finishing things off for class. I also managed to register for Nekocon's Artist Alley today, but I have to wait 30 days to find out if I've been approved, so fingers crossed!

I'm also working on finishing Chapter 2 of Kale so I can have the first issue finished. The book will also include a 5 page mini comic staring Alencia, along with drawings and concept art for the book, and some fan art by talented artists I know. I'm really excited about it and I can't wait to hold the printed books in my hands. I also need to go through all the files for 'Or Maybe Not' and redo the lettering for some of the pages and get them ready for their own book.

I have some artwork to scan. Not a lot, and even less that I can share right now, but I will have something up soon. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

It may have to be at the weekend. I'm almost done with my summer class tho! Then its' on to Nekocon stuff and finishing up comics!

ALMOST THERE!

Then I will explode with art to share.

Heads Up

I'll be visiting family in the south this monday for a week. After that I have about two weeks to finish up my summer class project so I'll be even more busy than usual. I have a few things to scan and post as of right now, so when I get back I should have more to post and scan before the fall semester starts up.
I'm not dead just REALLY really busy.

I'll be back later with more art!

Brush Pen Shenanigans

When not photoshooping school work I've been practicing with my brush pen.

Bitch Please by ~Spork-Bunny on deviantART

I am far too amused by this one. I'm really happy with it tho, I think I'm gaining better control over the pen as I ink.

Alencia enjoying a moment of not being so pale (aka, I used the wrong skin tone on her :P )

I feel like such a damn fangirl. I had to draw Noah Antwiler after watching his hilarious review of 'Ultima 1.' I highly suggesting giving it a watch. Even if you're not familiar with the game (I sure wasn't) it is still hilariously entertaining.
